Forgotten Ground Regained is a quarterly online journal based in the USA, inviting poetry and article submissions from writers worldwide. It has been proudly promoting the art of alliteration for over twenty years. Alliterative verse has a wide range of historical sources, from Beowulf and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight to J.R.R. Tolkien and traditional tongue-twisters. I studied Anglo-Saxon as my language option at university, so I was very happy to discover this community of contemporary poets honouring the alliterative tradition.
