Overtly Lit is a journal “where faith meets art” in free ebooks. This issue calls for a trigger warning as the Resistance theme includes descriptions of death, war, and genocide, including the genocide in Gaza. My poem about trespassing for wild garlic is a very mild example of resistance. It can be read as a reminder to be grateful if our only experience of injustice and segregation is a fence we can easily sneak through, with no guns on the other side.
